Francois Deville (1990, Perú) music producer, has developed music works spanning ambient, noise, techno, and scores for film. Ongoing member of asociacion Dignidad Humana y Solidaridad, a non-profit focused on humanitarian labor for social assistance and creation of art, work and education opportunities in Peruvian prisons.
In 2019 he moved to New York and enrolled at the Brooklyn College Sonic Arts MFA program (NYC), studying electronic production and engineering from 2019-2022, and working in composition seminars with artists Ben Vida, Red Wierenga, Doug Geers, and Tyondai Braxton.
In 2021 he founded the label ABAISSES, releasing since music works by electronic composer Brian Lindgren (“Etudes & Vignettes For Electronic Viola” and “Nuages”, both recorded with the new instrument built by Lindgren, the Electronic Viola [EV]), artists Rolando Hernández, Nawito Morales, Christian Delón and Eduardo Astudillo (“BDINGR'”, an experimental improvisation recorded in Valparaiso, Chile), and the CEAC Group. ABAISSES was featured at Umbral 50, the last edition of the experimental Mexican festival UMBRAL, presenting Lindgren’s Nuages and “El desierto crece/ el desierto avanza”, a new mix recorded by Deville for the festival. Latest issue for the label is album “Instantes” by CEAC Group. Deville has recorded mixtapes exploring the mix as a narrative medium.
He has composed scores for films including “Leo las olas” (2025) and “JUNCTION” (2026), by Emilio Subía, and “Charlene” (2026), by Chelsea Muscat, among other.
His social work for prisons focuses on project development for workshops, art exhibitions and audiovisual archives. He has contributed to the management of the art exhibitions “Arte y Esperanza” for years 2021 to 2025, and curated the photographic projet “Memoria y Dignidad Humana: El legado del padre Lanssiers” (2026), a travelling exhibition developed jointly with the Embassy of Belgium in Peru, commemorating 20 years since the passing of Hubert Lanssiers.
