FRANCOIS DEVILLE
1990, Perú. Music and creative producer. Has developed music works spanning electronics and scores for film. Founder of the record label ABAISSES (EST. NY 2021). Ongoing member on Asociacion Dignidad Humana y Solidaridad, a non-profit focused on humanitarian work for social assistance and creation of art and educational opportunities in Peruvian prisons.
From 2019 to 2022 he pursued an MFA in Sonic Arts at Brooklyn College, studying music composition and engineering, and seminars with artists Ben Vida, Red Wierenga, Doug Geers, and Tyondai Braxton. Deville has recorded multiple mixes exploring the mix as a narrative medium, and has composed scores for films Leo las olas (2025), Junction (2026), and Charlene (2026), among others.
His humanitarian work focuses on development of art workshops in prisons and cultural projects through international and institutional cooperation. He has led the creative direction of the art exhibitions “Arte y Esperanza” for years 2021 through 2025, of the photographic project “Memoria y Dignidad Humana: El legado del padre Lanssiers” (2026) –a traveling exhibition developed jointly with the Embassy of Belgium in Peru– and continues to participate actively as coordinator with the diplomatic corps and institutions.
